OOC Matters Post
This post is meant to serve as a one-stop destination for any and all OOC matters of interest pertaining to my Hellsing RP Characters:

- Yumie/Yumiko Takagi [[info]sister_samurai]
- Zorin Blitz [[info]die_zauberin]

What goes here?

1) Characterization critiques, concerns, observations, constructive criticism, suggestions, questions, etc. If I do anything questionable, confusing, or upsetting with my characters, please tell me, so I can A. Explain my reasons as a player and/or B. Try to rectify my playing in the future.. This goes for character actions, comments, relationships, and so on, and please also bring to my attention if there have been instances of info modding, godmodding, or other OOC discourtesy on my part.

2) Anyone who would like to plot and/or interact with my characters is also more than welcome to drop me a line! I'm more than happy to discuss possible plot ideas, and if there's something important I've missed, or someplace either of my pups are needed or wanted, please link me and I'll see what I can do. :)

3) Additionally, anyone interested in playing Zorin is encouraged to contact me (here or elsewhere), as I am definitely willing to give her to someone else in order to avoid playercest and let new blood in the Hellsing crew. Knowledge of canon is necessary in order for me to pass the torch, so ping me and we'll talk? ♥

Both signed and anonymous comments are allowed, though obvious flames/trolling will be deleted. I can also be contacted on AIM at RayKat13 and by email at RayKat13@gmail.com.

Why don't people like vampires, you ask.

Gee, let's think about this.

Vampires are creatures cheating true death through the artificial and unnatural extension of their existences by leeching away the lives of others. In the best case scenario, they go through the world leaving trails of corpses, and in the worst, armies of their servants and offspring: flesh-eating ghouls and more vampires. They're contagion. They're plague. They're gangrene, spreading their decay throughout the body of mankind.

We aren't talking about an oppressed racial minority. We're talking about monsters. And if you're unwilling to call a monster for what it is when it's standing right in front of you, then you've been taken in by too much popular fiction and a spineless liberal agenda allergic to taking a stand on morality. People are so unwilling these days to agree to concepts of good and evil. Too many say there is no black and white, only five million shades of gray. But there are lines that must be drawn or you lose any shape to the world.

There's only so open you can leave your mind before it's in danger of falling straight out of your skull.

Father Nightroad, I need to talk to you about the church. Ky Kiske told me he spoke with you on the matter before leaving.

A word about the shelter, Tony.

... Riiiight.

The shelter is currently full. I suggest those still needing a bed try again at midnight, as I suspect some of these people are simply here to gawk.

All guests still here tomorrow morning are asked to wake and begin clearing out for the day at eight so church staff can begin setting up for Sunday Mass, which will be at ten. We have a new priest officiating tomorrow's service, so please be sure to welcome Bishop.

Starting today, I am beginning a fundraising drive to build a seperate building for shelter operations. The church has served well enough for the project temporarialy, but as with most churches, the building is not well suited for such use permanently. For the long term, I believe it best to have a structure with better equipped utilities.

So, today's temporary visitors? You're not only welcome to ask me questions, but I'll also be more than happy to hug you and autograph your things.

For a small fee. ♥

((OOC: Bother at will~))

There are some I'm proud to be a member of: this one, of course, this one, and this one. ♥

Then there's this one, and this one, can't deny those, and this one. Hn. Er.

And I still object to this one, not to mention this one, too. I don't swear that much. And why the fuck do I have this one?!

... So are any of these actually having meetings today?

I see we've got a few new faces popping up on the network today. Guess it's that time again. As always, those needing a place to stay a while they get set up are welcome to the church shelter. Details, shelter rules, and volunteer information can be read here.

I need some air.

That curse was retarded. Does anyone even know what "prize" we were all supposed to be fighting for, anyway?

You know what else was retarded? A lot of you people's swordwork. Color me surprised half of you figured out the right end to pick up.

If you want to stay out of The Game then go to holy ground and shut up. Or just shut up. All this yelling and complaining is just going to draw attention to you.

But if you're really so eager to lose your heads, it's fine by me.

Honestly, people. It isn't rocket science.

As we find ourselves once more in the middle of another week of new arrivals to the City, I feel it prudent to once more remind of the church's shelter and soup kitchen. We offer beds, bedding, and a hot meal at no charge for those who find themselves alone and require a safe place to sleep until they become settled and make other arrangements.

All shelter guests will be advised of the conduct to be followed while on church property upon check in, which I will also post to the network, and are listed on the church bulletin board along with local job openings:

1. No violence on Church grounds.
2. No theft from the Church, no theft from people in the shelter or soup kitchen.
3. No sale or use of drugs or alcohol on Church grounds.
4. No solicitation or sexual activities on Church grounds.
5. No feeding from the persons or spirit of shelter/soup kitchen guests, volunteers, or Church staff.
6. If security tells you to leave, then go. Do not cause incident.

Once again I want to thank everyone lending their aid to this effort, and wish to restate that volunteers are always welcome, along with those who would like to donate supplies or monetarily. In addition to being a crucial part of the shelter program, I should like to remind everyone that acts of charity are also part of the season of Lent.

Lent begins today with Ash Wednesday, a day during which we are meant to take stock of our spritual lives. This is a time of reflection, when we should focus not only on repentance for our sins, but decide upon our other spiritual goals and how we will pursue them.

((OOC: She's decided to work on her temper and abstain from bitching at people... yeah, let's just see how long that lasts. >.<))

I ask that those feeling inspired today NOT demonstrate their arts on the walls or other parts of the chapel.

In other news, in order to better help individuals become settled in The City, I would like to create a job board to list openings with local businesses. If you own or manage a business and are seeking employees, or require help for odd jobs and/or household work, please send the following information over the network or to the church's office:

Title of position:
Name of business:
Description of duties involved:
Skills required/preferred:
Experience/Education preferred:
Willing to provide training?: Yes / No
Salary/Payment information:
Contact information:

Openings will be listed on the church bulletin board and on a weekly post made to my network journal. Thank you.

((OOC: No one really needs to fill the form out (unless you'd like to), this is mostly to put the idea out there ICly. We can just pretend the post goes up each week.))

I have a list of individuals who had previously expressed interest in volunteering for the New Arrival Outreach Program that I'd like to check in with to see if they're still interested.

Volunteers )

The shelter will be opening very soon, and we intend to also offer a soup kitchen in order to provide a meal along with a place to sleep. Anyone who would like to sign up to help with the effort in donation of time, supplies, or financially is encouraged contact myself or Tony Foster. At the moment we're especially seeking people with large scale food preparation experience willing to help with planning and/or preparation in the soup kitchen. I can always be reached through the network and will be at the church later today if anyone would like to sign up in person and/or have a look at the--

I'm just trying to say the way school need teachers
The way Kathie Lee needed Regis that's the way I need Jesus
So here go my single dog radio needs this
They say you can rap about anything except for Jesus
That means guns, sex, lies, video tapes
But if I talk about God my record won't get played, Huh?
Well let this take away from my spins
Which will probably take away from my ends
Then I hope this take away from my sins
And bring the day that I'm dreaming about
Next time I'm in the club everybody screaming out
