Is there anyone here experienced in construction?

Father Nightroad, I need to talk to you about the church. Ky Kiske told me he spoke with you on the matter before leaving.

A word about the shelter, Tony.

... Riiiight.

The shelter is currently full. I suggest those still needing a bed try again at midnight, as I suspect some of these people are simply here to gawk.

All guests still here tomorrow morning are asked to wake and begin clearing out for the day at eight so church staff can begin setting up for Sunday Mass, which will be at ten. We have a new priest officiating tomorrow's service, so please be sure to welcome Bishop.

Starting today, I am beginning a fundraising drive to build a seperate building for shelter operations. The church has served well enough for the project temporarialy, but as with most churches, the building is not well suited for such use permanently. For the long term, I believe it best to have a structure with better equipped utilities.

So, today's temporary visitors? You're not only welcome to ask me questions, but I'll also be more than happy to hug you and autograph your things.

For a small fee. ♥

((OOC: Bother at will~))

I see we've got a few new faces popping up on the network today. Guess it's that time again. As always, those needing a place to stay a while they get set up are welcome to the church shelter. Details, shelter rules, and volunteer information can be read here.

I need some air.

((OOC: Out around the square putting up some fliers to advertise the shelter. Action spam if anyone wants to run into her.))

As we find ourselves once more in the middle of another week of new arrivals to the City, I feel it prudent to once more remind of the church's shelter and soup kitchen. We offer beds, bedding, and a hot meal at no charge for those who find themselves alone and require a safe place to sleep until they become settled and make other arrangements.

All shelter guests will be advised of the conduct to be followed while on church property upon check in, which I will also post to the network, and are listed on the church bulletin board along with local job openings:

1. No violence on Church grounds.
2. No theft from the Church, no theft from people in the shelter or soup kitchen.
3. No sale or use of drugs or alcohol on Church grounds.
4. No solicitation or sexual activities on Church grounds.
5. No feeding from the persons or spirit of shelter/soup kitchen guests, volunteers, or Church staff.
6. If security tells you to leave, then go. Do not cause incident.

Once again I want to thank everyone lending their aid to this effort, and wish to restate that volunteers are always welcome, along with those who would like to donate supplies or monetarily. In addition to being a crucial part of the shelter program, I should like to remind everyone that acts of charity are also part of the season of Lent.

Lent begins today with Ash Wednesday, a day during which we are meant to take stock of our spritual lives. This is a time of reflection, when we should focus not only on repentance for our sins, but decide upon our other spiritual goals and how we will pursue them.

((OOC: She's decided to work on her temper and abstain from bitching at people... yeah, let's just see how long that lasts. >.<))

I ask that those feeling inspired today NOT demonstrate their arts on the walls or other parts of the chapel.

In other news, in order to better help individuals become settled in The City, I would like to create a job board to list openings with local businesses. If you own or manage a business and are seeking employees, or require help for odd jobs and/or household work, please send the following information over the network or to the church's office:

Title of position:
Name of business:
Description of duties involved:
Skills required/preferred:
Experience/Education preferred:
Willing to provide training?: Yes / No
Salary/Payment information:
Contact information:

Openings will be listed on the church bulletin board and on a weekly post made to my network journal. Thank you.

((OOC: No one really needs to fill the form out (unless you'd like to), this is mostly to put the idea out there ICly. We can just pretend the post goes up each week.))
